Danville, Ill. -- Funeral rites for Guy Ewing, age 69, father of Guy N. Ewing, Covington, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home. The Rev. John Dewey officiated. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park. Masonic services were conducted at the funeral home. Mr. Ewing, a resident of 44 Bensyl Ave., Danville, the past 25 years, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in Lakeview Memorial Hospital shortly after being admitted. He had been in ill health two years. Mr. Ewing was a conductor for the New York Central Railroad for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1960. Born in Brownsville, Ohio, June 25, 1894, he was a son of Albert and Mary Catlin Ewing. He was married in Covington to Marie Watson who preceded him in death in 1957. Mr. Ewing was a member of the Olive Branch Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Gao Grotto and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survivors include two sons, Guy N. of Covington and Robert E. of Danville, Ill.  --typed by Walt W
